SINGINGMAD

Kate  Radmilovic, a talented lyric soprano, began her illustrious career in Opera and Operetta after training at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she received the Elizabeth Harwood Best Singer of the Year Award.  She further honed her craft at the Zurich International Opera studio and subsequently took on house repertoire contracts in Germany and Switzerland as a leading Lyric soprano performing Madame Butterfly, Violetta in La Traviata, Mozart's Queen of the Night in the Magic Flute, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni,  Tatiana in Eugene Ognegin, and Mimi and Musetta in La Boheme to name but a few!   In  2008 she returned to the UK to play Carlotta in Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's, West End.  It was then that Kate decided to move over into Theatre and Musical Theatre for the second part of career as an Artist (now in her forties!) and returned to her British Name Kate Milner Evans and founded Singingmad.

In recent years Kate has had a versatile career in Theatre, most recently as Mother Abbess in the Sound of Music at the Pitlochry Festival, lead roles in new writing at the Chester Story House in the Park summer 2026. Other notable roles were Myrtle Bagot in Noel Cowards Brief Encounter  to critical acclaim at the Watermill Newbury, Sister Brigitta in Anthony McCartens "The Two Popes" (before the film adaptation) at the Frankfurt English Speaking Theatre, Claire in Small Town Boy at the Bristol Old vic,  and Mrs Gloop and Grandma Josephine in Playful and Neal Productions "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and Lottie Child in Crazy for you National Tour.  Film credits are on Amazon prime and Netflix and Kate won Best Actor at the Rob Knox Festival 2019. 

​Kate took on an associate teaching role at Guilford School of Acting, Surrey University when she returned to the UK in 2009 and has taught singing privately to students in the profession and from all walks of life.
